wine lovers compare notes

A community for wine lovers to post and compare tasting notes. Please post whenever you have enjoyed a wine. Don't feel like you can't contribute if you don't know wine jargon.

I (stayyoung) started the journal thinking I would use it as a kind of wine journal so I could remember what I've had. Then I figured other people's experiences would make for a much larger collection of notes, and turned it into a community. This community should be used to remember what you have had in the past and as a source of ideas for wines to serve.

We do not restrict ourselves to any particular grape, region, or price range. Periodically, the tasting notes will be organized as "memories" to make particular records easier to find. The following is a sample tasting note format, but this is by no means required.

Identification (producer, vineyard)
Country and Region of Origin
Grape(s) and percentage composition if known
Taste (particular tastes, sweetness, acidity, tannin, balance, length, bouquet, etc)
Comments (aging requirements, food suggestions, etc)
